In From The Cold is a sludge/stoner metal band from Belgrade, Serbia, formed in 2007. It’s kind of an all-star band consisting members that have been around for two decades now in the Serbian both underground and mainstream music scene, working with names such as HANG, BOMBARDER, INFEST, EYESBURN, FEUD, THROUGH ART, VOX POPULI, STONE TO FLESH, 666 BLUES BAND, FC APATRIDE UTD, HITMAN, SOULCRAFT, FULL SIZE, FAKE FREEDOM…
IFTC sound can be described like brutal & perverse mix of blues, punk & metal. Their roots go deep into ‘90’s New Orleans/North Carolina metal scene, bands like Eyehategod, Crowbar, Buzzov-en, C.O.C., Sourvein, Bongzilla…but still, you can say they are heavily influenced by old hc/punk legends like Poison Idea, The Varukers, Black Flag, Discharg etc Finally, the spice that makes IFTC songs sound fresh and authentic is that they don’t fear diggin’ from time to time into holes of old blues driven psychedelic jam rock in the vein of Jimi Hendrix, Captain Beyond, Cream, even King Crimson…
So far, the band released two EP’s, one full length album and they also have couple of compilation appearances. There are numerous live bootleg recordings of IFTC circling the web…some of them even posted by the band.
In From The Cold shared stage with bands like Cathedral, Karma To Burn, The Ocean, Crowbar, Whitehorse, Stonebride, Black Tusk, Seven That Spells, The Stone, Dordeduh…etc
